Inverter load notes (for reference only)
Resistive load: Ordinary household appliances such as incandescent lamps, induction cookers, fans, computers, microwave ovens, etc. For example: a nominal 2000W induction cooker can be driven by a 2000W inverter!
Inductive load: Products like motors, compressors, relays, etc. These require a starting current 3-7 times larger than normal operation. Examples: refrigerators, washing machines, air conditioners, water pumps.
Capacitive load: Switching power supplies, energy-saving lamps, electric vehicle charging power supplies, etc.
Sine Wave vs. Modified Wave Inverters
1. Waveform Quality: Sine wave inverters generate pure AC consistent with grid power. Modified waves contain more harmonics and are less smooth.
2. Efficiency & Cost: Modified wave inverters are generally cheaper and simpler. Sine wave inverters are more complex and expensive but offer higher quality power.
3. Application: Sine wave is suitable for precision equipment and medical devices. Modified wave is for general use where power quality is not critical.
4. Load Adaptability: Sine wave inverters can meet all AC load applications, while modified wave has poor adaptability for sensitive electronics.
