Static Transfer Switch (STS)
STS is a dual-input AC converter switch. While one AC input is used to power the load, the other is kept disconnected. When the primary power supply becomes abnormal, the STS automatically switches to the secondary power supply to ensure the load remains continuously powered without interruption.
What is the primary function of a Static Transfer Switch (STS)?
The STS is designed to provide seamless power switching between two independent AC power sources. If one source fails or becomes unstable, it automatically transfers the load to the backup source to ensure continuous operation.
How fast is the switching speed?
Our STS units feature ultra-fast switching times of ≤ 4ms. This speed is fast enough that most sensitive electronic equipment, such as servers and industrial controllers, will not experience any power interruption.
Does the STS provide protection for my equipment?
Yes. It includes comprehensive protection features such as input undervoltage/overvoltage protection, output overload protection, over-temperature protection, and short-circuit protection.
What is the difference between single and dual switching types?
Single switching typically refers to switching the live line, while dual switching refers to switching both the live and neutral lines simultaneously, providing higher isolation and safety in specific electrical environments.
Can I monitor the status of the STS easily?
Absolutely. All units are equipped with LED indicator lights, and high-capacity models often include an LCD screen for real-time monitoring of input voltage, frequency, and current status.
Is the STS compatible with different power frequencies?
Yes, our STS models are designed to be compatible with both 50Hz and 60Hz power systems, making them suitable for international use.
